Abergavenny Symphony Orchestra
Abergavenny Orchestral Society is one of the oldest musical societies in the area and is said to be over 150 years old. We are a community orchestra, playing under the title Abergavenny Symphony Orchestra, with members of all ages drawn from a 40 mile radius.
We usually play three concerts a year, and have a wide-ranging repertoire which ensures that concerts and rehearsals are interesting for audience and players alike. You can get a taste of the range of pieces we have played recently from our past concerts page.
Rehearsals take place on Sunday evenings from 6.30 to 9.00 pm during school term time, at the Angel Hotel, Cross Street, Abergavenny. Rehearsals always include a break to make a welcome visit to the bar.
